Let our girls succeed
Empower Girls, Save Communities!
Pastoralist Girls Initiative is currently implementing WasichanaWetuWafaulu, a holistic six year's project specifically designed to remove cultural and social-economic barriers that prevent or made extremely difficult for primary school girls in ASAL regions and Urban Slums in Kenya transit to secondary school. The project has set ambitious target of increasing the number of girls joining secondary schools in ASAL and urban slum from the current 79% to over 92% in eight counties and for the few unable to join secondary schools the project has put in place alternative pathways for entry in Technical and Vocational Education and Training Institutions. Pastoralist Girls Initiative is implementing the programme in partnership with 4 other organizations. These include: Education Development Trust, Concern Worldwide, AnandaMarga Universal Relief Team (AMURT) and Kesho Kenya. .
